The methods a dispatch decided per call of the function enclosing holding it does not run in a slice: those it rules out at every call of enclosing the slice holds, at such a call with what it rules out at every call the slice holds of the function holding that call in turn. A slice starting in a function, or holding none of its calls, keeps all.
